Legrand is a global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures, offering solutions for use in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. At Legrand they manufacture a wide range of products stretching from wiring devices and lighting to audiovisual equipment and data center solutions. As an established and trusted partner, Legrand is a real-life illustration of how Toxnot has been able to fulfill glaring needs in company-wide sustainability efforts.
As a company that is actively investing in transparency documentation, they have upwards of 145 Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and 15 Health Product Declarations (HPDs). Before Toxnot, these reports were largely created using time-intensive, manual processes. Using Toxnot's SDS importing and screening tools, Legrand was able to import and extract data from hundreds of SDSs at a time, which then are nicely stored in an editable format in their Toxnot Library. With all of that data nicely stored in an accessible system, Legrand can now create HPDs, screen against regulatory lists, and respond to customer requests with just a few clicks. Work that used to take several days to several weeks now takes them just a few minutes. Toxnot has truly enabled Legrand, and similar companies like those in the Living Product 50, to spend the time they need on meeting their sustainability and transparency goals.
Automate your sustainable supply chain
To strengthen the value that Toxnot can provide to manufacturers leading in sustainability, our new SDS functionality aims to save more time while giving users more control. You can now bulk import SDSs using our offline import, which allows you to leave Toxnot OR continue doing other work in Toxnot while those files are being imported and parsed through. This type of import is more reliable while still protecting the safety and integrity of your data. Once your data is imported, you'll get an email notifying you of its completion. You can also QA and screen the data whenever it is convenient for you versus needing to do it in the moment.
